I am thinking it's a sign
That the freckles
In our eyes are
Mirror images and
When we kiss
They're perfectly aligned
The only people you need in your life are the ones who need you in theirs.
'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,- that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know'
I walk around the school hallways and look at the people. I look at the teachers and wonder why they're here. If they like their jobs. Or us. And I wonder how smart they were when they were fifteen. Not in a mean way. In a curious way. It's like looking at all the students and wondering who's had their heart broken that day, and how they are able to cope with having three quizzes and a book report due on top of that. Or wondering who did the heart breaking. And wondering why.
Every breath that is in your lungs is a tiny little gift to me.
We accept the love we think we deserve.

I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble.
If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.
All the lessons of history in four sentences:

Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad with power.
The mills of God grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly small.
The bee fertilizes the flower it robs.
When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.
You'd be beautiful if you tried.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent in doing nothing.
I am only one,
But still I am one.
I cannot do everything,
But still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do
It is one thing to show a man that he is in error, and another to put him in possession of truth.
The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
Chance is a word void of sense; nothing can exist without a cause.
Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will.
He who knows much about others may be learned, but he who understands himself is more intelligent. He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.
If a man will begin with certainties, he shall end in doubts; but if he will be content to begin with doubts, he shall end in certainties.

Fallout

Carried thru the road so far alone
Days glue themselves to what is wrong
And soon the hills will swallow us up
Plans will pass her
Land on the walls is laid out
I know you're in pain
Train for the cause is staying down
It plays you out
Fall out of love again
Your dreams all end
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to taht tender light
Which heaven to gaudy days denies
The human body is a little universe
Its chill tears, so much wind-blown sleet
Beneath our skins, mountains bulge, brooks flow
Within our chests lurk lost cities, hidden tribes

Wisdom quarters itself in our tiny hearts
Liver and gall peer out, scrutinize a thousand miles
Follow a path back to its source, else be
A house vacant save for swallows in the eaves

airports are all about
when i left you
and when you met me
airports are all about
tears of happiness
and endless despair
airports are all about
everything i love and hate
quite frankly
i'd be happy
if i never stepped foot
in an airport again.

(the way to the stars is open)

Underlying our whole outlook of ourselves and the world is a neurotic conviction of our own limitations.
One day a frog from the ocean decided to visit a frog who had lived his entire life in a well.

"Where do you come from?" asked the frog in the well.
"From the great ocean," he replied.
"How big is your ocean?"
"It's gigantic."
"You mean about a quater of the size of my own well here?"
"Bigger."
"Bigger? You mean half as big?"
"No, even bigger."
"Is it... as big as this well?"
"There's no comparison."
"That's impossible! I've got to see this for myself."

They set off together. When the frog from the well saw the ocean, it was such a shock that his head exploded.

When we assume that entirety of our own lives is the universe, it makes it impossible for us to fathom another demension of reality.
